capital goods price index (CGPI)
Definition
An economic metric measuring capital asset costs in New Zealand. The index measures residential and commercial buildings, transportation equipment, machinery, land improvement and other types of construction. The index is released quarterly, measuring the change in prices from one quarter to the next.
