Light paperboard folding box (made from a type of paperboard such as boxboard or cartonboard) that holds one or more pieces of merchandise such as cereal, cigarettes, toothpaste, etc. Not intended as a shipping container, a carton does not normally meet bursting strength and stacking strength requirements.
