cash advance fee
Definition
The charge imposed by a credit card company when a card holder takes out a loan of liquid funds against their credit limit. A credit card business might compute a cash advance fee as a flat charge against the card's account, or as a percentage of the amount borrowed, which can range from between two and four percent.
