cash plus convertible
Definition
A bond an investor may exchange at a fixed price at certain times over its life, usually at the investor's option, that calls for cash payment in addition to common shares when exchanged. The leverage built into this type of bond generates relatively large price fluctuations in contrast to the common stock underlying the bond.
