checkless society
Definition
A society in which all financial transactions are done electronically (i.e. via use of credit cards, debit cards, or other electronic funds transfers). In this society, the use of checks, money orders, and even cash, would be eliminated. Banks and other financial institutions have been working to achieve such a society for years.
