co-branded card
Definition
A credit card sponsored jointly by a credit card company, a bank, and a retailer. For example, Walmart offers a Discover credit card issued by GE Money Bank. The bank and the credit card company benefit by gaining the business and loyalty of the retailer's customers. Unlike a dedicated department store credit card, a co-branded card can be used at other retailers.
