Definition
A clause found in some lease agreements for retail space that entitles the tenant to a decrease in the amount of rent payments if a specified other tenant leaves the location. This type of clause is frequently found in leases for retail space in malls or shopping centers with one or more anchor tenants, or popular businesses that draw customers to the retail location.
