completion undertaking
Definition
A contract between two companies in which Company A agrees to complete a project under specific conditions and by a specific date or reimburse Company B for all money Company B borrowed to fund the project, if Company A cannot complete the project as agreed. The agreement reduces Company B's risk of being unable to pay the debt if Company A fails to finish the project.
