Definition
Written statement from a carrier, hotel, rental firm, etc., that it has received the reservation request and will honor it. It may either be a guaranteed or non-guaranteed confirmation. While oral confirmations are virtually worthless, written or emailed confirmations too have stated or implied limitations (such as the period of reservation and how late the person can arrive).
