conjunctivitis

Swelling of conjunctiva (mucous membrane that lines the inside of eyelids, and covers and moistures eyeballs when closing eyes or blinking) accompanied by redness and discharge of water or pus. It is caused generally by exposure to certain chemicals or pathogens.
