consumer services marketing
Definition
Advertising and selling services, such as insurance, banking, and travel, to households rather than businesses, using strategies different from those used in industrial services marketing. Research is conducted to determine the target audience to which advertising and promotion should be directed. The expense of researching and disseminating information to promote the services to the target audience is usually passed along to the end user in the price of the services.
