Definition
To provide or furnish something in order to reach a common goal, add value, or benefit in some way. The most common way that individuals contribute is by donating funds or items to charitable organizations. An individual who contributes something is called a contributor. "Becky and John contribute 10% of their monthly income to the Salvation Army."
