core ppi
Definition
A subset of the total Producer Price Index (PPI) that excludes the highly volatile food and energy prices. Preliminary PPI data and a final revision from the previous four months are released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics during the second week of each month. Compare to Consumer Price Index (CPI); Core CPI; Producer Price Index (PPI).
