cross-company posting
Definition
The posting and linking of an accounting code generated by one company with the company which it rendered services for. For example, a cross-company posting will create a debit in Company A's account and a credit in Company B's account. Also called cross-company code posting, inter-company posting, cross-company invoice posting, cross-company billing.
