2. Real estate: Cost approach to the appraisal of the value of a real property. Formula: Front x Depth x Height (basement to roof, in feet) x Cost per cubic-foot.
3. Shipping: Product of length, width, and depth (all in inches) of a package divided by 1728 to be expressed as cubic-feet.
