delivery ex ship
Definition
DES. A form of international trade contract that specifies that the party selling the good must deliver it to a specific port. Unlike a delivery ex quay, the seller is not required to unload the cargo, only to deliver the goods via ship. The buyer would be responsible for further handling. See also cost and freight (C&F), cost, insurance and freight (CIF).
