demerits per unit charts
Definition
A type of control chart used in Six Sigma projects that is used to express and monitor defects in multiple processes of a complex process simultaneously. A demerits-per-unit chart is based on weighting values for different categories of defect, and is used when there are differences in the potential severity of defects in a process.
