design resolution
Definition
In a fractional factorial experiment design, a worst-case confounding scheme, or method for preventing false or meaningless correlations from resulting in unusable experimental data. A design resolution is used to determine whether the distorting influence of a confounding variable, or variable that introduce false conclusions, has been counteracted or removed from the experiment to preserve accuracy.
