direct liability
Definition
Liability on the part of an individual or a business that has been established on the basis of negligence or other factors resulting in harm or damage to another individual or their property. Direct liability is different from indirect liability, in which intervening factors are involved that reduce the responsibility of the liable party for the harm or damages in question.
