Definition

A cost of obtaining a product that creates unbalance in the market by not equating the quantity of the product demanded and the quantity of the product supplied. For example, if the cost of obtaining a product is too high, the quantity of the product supplied will exceed the quantity demanded. On the other hand, if the cost of obtaining a product is too low, the quantity of the product demanded will exceed the quantity supplied.
