efficiency of estimators
Definition
The level of efficiency of a mathematical model used to produce estimations based on observed data. The efficiency of an estimator is calculated according to a "best possible" approach, defined by a loss function that assigns numerical values to different magnitudes of estimation error. Measuring the efficiency of estimators is necessary when choosing an estimator that produces the most accurate estimates for a given statistical process.
