exhaustion gap
Definition
A blank space above or below the price bars on a price chart that is formed by a sudden price spike associated with panic buying or selling as a trend nears a reversal point. An exhaustion gap is typically created by panic buying or selling. See Gap; Breakaway Gap; Gap Opening; Runaway Gap.
