fractional factorial DOE
Definition
An abbreviation of fractional factorial design of experiment, a type of experimental design that explores the effect of different combinations of factor values on process outputs, and is carried out on a subset of all possible values rather than the complete set. Fractional factorial designs are used when only some possible values of factors in a process are seen as relevant to the business or manufacturing process being modeled.
