Group of Ten (G-10)
Definition
Wealthiest eleven member nations of the International Monetary Fund (Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, and USA). These countries “stand ready to lend their currencies to the IMF up to specified amounts when supplementary resources are needed” under the 'General Arrangements to Borrow.' Although Switzerland became the eleventh member in 1994, the original name persists. Also called the Paris Club.
