heat stroke
Definition
Most-serious health condition caused by prolonged or unaccustomed exposure to heat, resulting in the failure of body's heat regulating mechanism. Its symptoms include high body temperature (around 40.5°C or 105°F), rapid heart beat, dizziness, confusion, nausea, vomiting, fainting, and little or no sweating. Since about half of the victims of heat stroke die, urgent medical attention is critical.
