Definition
Laser generated three-dimensional image used on credit cards, software packages, and other items as a difficult-to-counterfeit mark of authentication. Using a similar technique, 100 megabytes (about 10,000 printed pages) of data can be stored in one cubic centimeter of specially treated lithium-niobate crystal.
