Definition
An antagonistic situation that might occur in the workplace when any employee experiences harassment due to the offensive, intimidating or oppressive behavior of one or more people. Many staff members are intimidated by harassment and become too afraid to continue to work in a hostile work atmosphere. This can lead to substantial and costly staff turnover problems or even lawsuits.
