inflation endorsement
Definition
An insurance rider attached to a homeowners policy that automatically increases the amount of insurance on an annual basis in order to keep pace with inflation. The rate of increase is tied to an index set forth in the endorsement and is capped when the coverage reaches percentage multiple of the original amount of insurance.
