integration with social security
Definition
An off-set method used by employers that provide defined-benefit plans to reduce the plan's exposure to payable benefits in which a payee's monthly defined benefit payment is reduced by a certain percent of their Social Security benefit payment. Integrated plans tend to benefit lower tenured employees more than higher tenured employees.
