International collaborative research and development program comprising of universities and industries in 21 countries (including Canada, EU, and the US). Launched in 1995 for an initial period of 10 years, it is aimed at advancing technological and organizational knowledge to cope with increasingly tougher environmental standards without duplication of efforts.
