interchange agreement
Definition
A contractual arrangement that stipulates the terms of a temporary placement of equipment at the disposal of a sub-contracting agency or company in the conduct of a business between two entities. Interchange agreements are also used by federal agencies that appoint employees in noncompetitive positions on a conditional basis.
