investment club

Definition

Group of individual investors who pool their savings to make joint investments. Investment clubs enable their members to participate in much larger investment portfolios than possible for any single individual, thus spreading the risk over a greater range of securities. Their combined resources also allow them to hire competent investment advisors. See also investment company.
