key business requirement (KBR)
Definition
Measurable changes that must be achieved in order to solve the problems currently facing an organization. Key business requirements can be determined by examining budget shortfalls, observed defects in products, or the incidence of dissatisfaction among customers. Once identified, key business requirements can become the focus of business process improvement projects.
