larceny
Definition
Unlawful actual or 'in effect' (constructive) taking away of goods or property without the consent, and against the will, of the owner or possessor with the intention of permanently depriving him or her of those items. The terms 'petty larceny' and 'grand larceny' refer to the value of items so taken.
