Definition
Deadline by which the beneficiary of a letter of credit (L/C) must submit the required documents to receive the payment. If no date is specified in the L/C, either its validity date or a date not later than 21 days of the issue of the associated bill of lading (or air waybill) is generally considered the latest date.
