life cycle processing
Definition
Cost accounting approach under which the price of a manufactured good is computed on the basis of recovering the product's total cost over its life cycle. Since this practice results in a comparatively lower up-front cost, some customs authorities (especially in the US) dispute the validity of this costing method in determining instance of dumping. They contend that the projections of the future revenue-yields of the product cannot be verified.
