living will
Definition
Legal document that, unlike the traditional wills, is effective while its creator (testator) is alive. It usually expresses the testator's wishes regarding the type of medical care and degree of medical intervention (life sustaining support), in the event his or her death is imminent due to a medical condition or an accident.
