logarithmic price scale

Definition

The price scale that is plotted to proportionally show the percent of the price change vertically on the chart. There is less distance between the numbers when there is an increase in the underlying asset, because small increases are not as influential as the price grows. Also called a log scale. Opposite of linear price scale.
