logical bomb
Definition
Harmless or malicious programming code that gains entry into a computer usually as embedded in a webpage or email. Upon its execution, it looks for fulfillment of some conditions (such as a particular date) upon which its action (ranging from "Happy Birthday" to reformatting of a hard disk) is triggered.
