Definition
One of the two major rewritable-recording technologies for 'erasable' data storage products (the other is CD-RW). Two 51/2 inch disks are glued together to make a double-sided M-O disk whose specifications are governed by the ISO 9660 standard (also called 'Orange Book, Part-1') specification.
