measured variable
Definition
A factor affecting the outcome of a process that is measured as part of a Six Sigma project or other process improvement initiative. Measured variables may include process inputs such as raw materials, or the time taken to complete a given step in a process, or other parameters of the process to identify opportunities for defects or areas for improvement.
