mismatch bond
Definition
A type of note or bond with a floating rate. This type of bond has an interest rate, which is reset on a quarterly basis rather than a bi-annual or even annual basis; the rate is frequently set on the basis of a yearly interest rate, even though the rollover period is shorter.
