model unit
Definition
The production of an example of a portfolio, business deal, housing unit, or other product used to indicate the pattern, configuration, and/or form of future products of the same nature. This unit is often used for market testing to ascertain whether or not a full scale production of the item would be profitable for the business, which fronts the money to produce it.
