moving expenses
Definition
Expenses incurred during the course of moving to a new residence due to work relocation. Under the Internal Revenue Code, those expenses that are reasonable for the circumstances of the move may be tax deductible. Deductible expenses generally include the cost, house hunting, packing, shipping and storage of personal property and the transportation of family members including meals and lodging.
