natural gas storage report
Definition
A weekly report by the American Gas Associate indicating the amount of gas reserve of the United States measured in billions of cubic feet. It acts as a marker for natural gas prices in the U.S. For example, if the report indicates a lower gas reserve than the levels of the last report, then gas prices will increase, as this suggests a shortage. Conversely, if it shows a higher reserve, then gas prices will most likely fall, as it suggests a surplus.
