next count date
Definition
The next time a physical inventory count of an item is scheduled to occur. This is a particularly important variable when using the cycle count method to manage inventory. In this procedure, only subsets of the inventory are meant to be counted on a particular day. These counts are spread throughout the year until the entire inventory has been counted. The next count date is usually set based on when the last count occurred and a predetermined interval between.
