Definition
A type of mortgage that is not eligible to be sold to Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac because it does not meet the specific guidelines for these Government Sponsored Enterprises. The guidelines for such mortgages to be eligible include a maximum loan amount, a suitable underlying property, a down payment requirement, a credit requirement, and certain other factors.
