Definition
The date upon which a business that sells magazines or newspapers reports to wholesalers how many units of the magazine or newspaper remain unsold. These unsold units, known as newspaper returns, are tabulated by wholesalers in order to determine which retail outlets are more successful in selling the magazines or newspapers.
