ordinary repair
Definition
Repairs to capital assets that keep the asset in good working condition. Types of ordinary repairs can include the replacement of worn parts or any other activity that is needed to maintain a normal level of service. An ordinary repair is not capitalized as it is not likely to extend the normal life of the capital asset. See also overhaul.
