partial eviction
Definition
Action taken by a landlord to deprive a renter of certain amenities or a portion of the property they rent. This action may be taken as a result of modifications to the property which would likely result in reduced rent paid by the renter. Partial eviction may also occur if the renter is delinquent in paying rent and the landlord wishes to disrupt the services that allow for the habitability of the property.
